# 🪝Basic anonymity

**Do not write to money changers using personal Telegrams - buy a temporary account. Do not use personal emails for exchanges (neither ProtonMail nor temporary mails are advisable); instead, buy or register a legitimate and normal Yahoo, Outlook, Gmail, GMX, Inbox.lv, etc.**

It's important to understand that basic anonymity does not guarantee absolute concealment of identity, and additional security measures should be taken while working online, especially when handling sensitive data or in high-risk environments.

Caution on social networks: Avoid sharing personal information and limit access to your profile and posts to selected friends or groups.

Using pseudonyms and anonymous email addresses: When registering on websites and using emails, it's recommended to use pseudonyms and anonymous email addresses to avoid revealing your true identity.

Clearing browser cookies and cache: Regularly deleting cookies and clearing the browser cache helps eliminate tracking and storing of personal information.

Using anonymous search engines: Some search engines, like DuckDuckGo, offer anonymous searches without saving users' personal data and search history.

Using Tor: The Onion Router (TOR) is a network that routes your traffic through multiple randomly selected nodes, making it difficult to track your online actions and hiding your real IP address.

Using a virtual private network (VPN): A VPN creates an encrypted tunnel between your device and the VPN server, hiding your IP address and protecting your privacy when connecting to the internet.

Basic online anonymity involves concealing personal information and user identification from third parties. Here are some methods to achieve basic anonymity:

Remember basic rules: Keep quiet about your activities until money is laundered, and do not shout about it. Also, personal email and personal IP are called personal for a reason—they should not be used for work purposes. 🪝

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://read.cryptograb.wiki/cryptograb-automatic-affiliate/laundering-or-legalization-or-cleaning-of-funds/basic-anonymity.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
